Welcome to Our Congregation

This area is focused on Shared Ministry, Outreach, and the overall Organizational structure.  Please look around to see how we put our principles into action through a variety of service projects and community outreach. Through giving of our time, talent, and treasure, we put our faith into action.

Membership
Holding-Hands-1.gifWe welcome participation by all who walk through our doors; we also hope that you will be inspired to become a member of our congregation.

Shared Ministry
Our pastoral care committee is a lay pastoral ministry that supplements ministerial services with the goal of being a more caring community in which members express their interconnectedness by reaching out to support one another in times of need.

Volunteers
Need the step-by-step procedure for any of a variety of volunteer positions?  See our "Volunteer Opportunities" page — the link is in the right column — or contact our office manager at manager@www.cucparamus.org with the committee or program in the subject line. She will forward your mail to the proper CUC member.

Outreach
Join us in one or more of our many congregational initiatives to support those in need in our community and the world.

Organization
In accordance with our bylaws, the duly elected board of trustees is ultimately responsible for managing all the business of the Congregation. To enhance organizational effectiveness, the board delegates the day-to-day operation of the congregation's business to the minister and staff.

Financial Support
Member pledges allow us to plan our budget and thus our ministry and programs for the coming year. Every year, we ask you to think about how Central Unitarian Church contributes to you and your family's life and to consider the level of financial support you will provide for our operations. We also have an Endowment Trust Fund (ETF) that allows for contributions to the congregation's long-term programs and activities. Gifts to the ETF often take the form of a memorial bequest, but may be made at any time and for any reason.
