Volunteers make the difference!
We welcome all members and visitors to volunteer at Central Unitarian Church. It really helps to get to know your fellow congregants, as well as helping us provide services to both the congregation and our larger community. For information about volunteer opportunities for a specific committee, send an E-mail to green@cucparamus.org with the committee name in the subject line or send USPS mail to the committee of interest at Central Unitarian Church, 156 Forest Avenue, Paramus, N.J. 07652. If you are unsure of how you can help, just contact "volunteer" with your particular interest or skill at the church address, or use "volunteer" as the subject of your E-mail. You can volunteer as little as one hour or as much as you want; we are not asking you for any minimum commitment.
Thank you for your interest in helping out at CUC!
Hospitality Committee/Coffee Hour. The hospitality committee has an ongoing need for two volunteers each week to host our coffee hour after the Sunday service. Basically, the volunteers purchase milk and snacks (some reimbursement is available), prepare the refreshments, bring them out to the rear of the sanctuary in time for the end of service, clean up afterward, and submit collected donations to the office. Sign up on the chart near the side enterance (to your left as you exit the sanctuary into the hallway), by sending an E-mail to green@cucparamus.org with "Coffee Hour" in the subject line, or by calling the church office. For detailed instructions on hosting coffee hour, click on the link in the right column.
Flowers. Except for special holiday services, our flowers for Sunday service are provided by members of the congregation, often in honor of a loved one or special event in their lives. Please sign up on the chart in the side entrance vestibule, which is to your left as you leave the sanctuary into the hallway.
